To use a hot water bottle safely: fill it to a maximum of 2/3 full with hot tap water (not boiling) and hold the bottle upright to prevent splashing. Screw the cap on tightly, check for leaks by rolling the bottle, and always place the bottle in a cover. Check the bottle for wear or damage before each use.
